Formerly used on a high-performance variant of the F-150, the Lightning nameplate was revived for the 2022 model year for Ford’s first series-produced electric truck. Power comes from a pair of electric motors (one per axle), which draw electricity from a 131-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack to turn all four wheels with 580 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque. The 2022 Lightning earned a maximum driving range of 320 miles from the EPA with the extended-range battery.
